After her position as voice professor in Bern Switzerland at the University of Music (Hochschule für Musik), Janet Perry continued her work as teacher and educator in the Summer Academy of the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria, in master classes in Italy at the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi, the Scuola Civica Claudio Abbado of Milan where she staged Così fan Tutte for the opera class, the Conservatorio Vivaldi in Alessandria, as well as in private lessons and master classes for chosen students.
She is also part of the team of teachers in the program ‘Si Parla Si Canta’, a program to give students an intensive Italian language course along with daily voice lessons, coaching, and performances in the summer of 2024 in Arona Italy.
‘I feel it is important to transmit to new generations of singers my own experience with the great musicians and conductors I have worked with in my career, along with sound vocal technique, the elements of style, the beauty of line, legato, colour of tone, expression and language which are at the heart of Bel Canto.’
